Hi, One of my wife's friends shared with her that we should get ALCAT test done for our son - it is a private food allergy blood test where they measure anti-bodies based on various food elements. This person said she learned that she was allergic to turmeric, for example. Given we know UC is an autoimmune disorder - and we know some foods act as triggers (although traditional medicine refutes this) - could there be benefit of this test. It is an out of pocket expense as insurance doesn't cover it. So before we go for it - wanted to check with others on the forum who may have researched it, or others who may have expertise?
