blood test results for CRP are often not the best test to look for evidence of inflammation in the bowel. My highest CRP was a 4 during a time when I had flaring asthma as well as IBD.
Fecal calprotectin is a much better test than CRP, but many American GIs don't offer this test, at least not without you specifically asking for it.
52 yrs old, IBD diagnosis in spring '01. Proctitis, gastritis, ileitis.

6 pills/day), Sulfazine (1.5 g/day),
, folic acid, vit. D (2K iu), flax seed oil (2 tsp/day), psyllium (2 tsp daily), rectal meds as needed. Gluten free as of 5/30/11. Remission from Aug. '11 until November '14.
