My dad had some external hemmies, avoided surgery for as long as he could, until he was wearing maxipads to stop the bleeding/seaping from touching his clothes. They gave him bands, he passed out during the procedure; hurt like hell he said, took him a number of weeks to recover. He had several more about
7 years later but he had them treated before they became that problematic. This time he opted for anesthesia, no bands, and had them cut off, easier and quicker recovery and a lot less pain on the second go around. Maybe it was less trouble the second time as he didn't put it off for so long?
