Hello everyone,

Is anyone aware of research pertaining to UC when it comes to groups of food with larger populations of people? I've noticed there are a lot of common possible triggers yet many of us suffering from UC veer away with different foods ("everyone is different"). It got me wondering if there is possibly some grouping, or archetypes, that could be found such as "if a person has issues with dairy and wheat they have a 70% chance of issues with tropical fruit" or "if a person has issues with nuts they have a 15% issue with oils.",etc..

That would be nice but I think you're expecting too much.

I hope those aren't the case or I wouldnt be able to eat anything. I have learned the low fodmap diet is popular for ibd. And it fits everything you just said except you can still have some of each. (Just a very picky diet.)
I'm starting it out of desperation because it matches trigger food list.
No nuts
No caffeine
No wheat
No milk.
