Sucks when they cannot set the IV right, the first time. They stuck me 3 times until they got it right once, I was ghost white, the nurse asked if I was okay as I was so pale lol. I now have them set my IV in the big vein at the bend of my arm, a big easy target that they haven't botched since.
The condensed infusion schedule, when initially starting biologics, is to get the medication up to a high concentration in your body to get it working/healing you. Afterwards, they just maintain that concentration in maintenance doses.
