Early last June, things went from some bleeding and urgency to 100% bloody D and terrible pain in about
2 days. Colonoscopy at the time showed patchy, severe inflammation. Then, at a follow up colonoscopy on July 31st, everything was healed. This was after IV steroids and oral pred+Lialda.
My new doc's fellow mentioned that flaring and healing this fast is relatively rare. What are your experiences in regards to speed of flare and healing?
Makes me nervous that another flare could come quickly and knock me on my butt again. Pun intended.
Diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis in 2010-canasa
Many flares along the way
Hospitalized with major flare and diagnosed with UC in June 2014- taken off of canasa, put on pred (off now!), 4 lialda/day
Flared again (minor) in Feb 2015. Tried Cortifoam (no luck). Was put on Canasa (no luck).
Current meds: 4 lialda a day, anusol supp.
