Hey folks, I discovered a while ago that I was having a lot of problems with some foods, eggs, corn, nuts and many others were now off the table, which concerned me as I am already Gluten and Dairy free, I cannot have any dairy products whatsoever, being Casein intolerant. I also started having some acid reflux again, GERD, until I discovered digestive enzymes! they helped, but I would still on occasion get feelings of acute fullness and mild nausea.
A week ago I went on the SCD diet, not because of my UC (which is in remission) but to enable me to closely monitor my diet for food intolerances, and to try to "heal" my gut, make it stronger, the plan I had in mind was for only three months, which I figured would give me enough time to pinpoint foods my body was having trouble with.
Yesterday, after breakfast, I felt almost immediately ill, and was unable to eat anything for the rest of the day. I have lost weight recently because of this problem, and because of the SCD diet, as it is not clear to me how anyone can maintain weight on it? Today I have eaten Jello and mashed up apple and pear for all my meals, due to a tender aching feeling that has not gone away from yesterdays breakfast, and this evening If I place my hand over my belly button area, it is still sore from yesterday morning, and tender, and when I eat, I feel almost immediately full, and when I drink, it feels like I can feel it going all the way down my esophagus, a very strange feeling!
On a night if I fall asleep with my arm resting on my chest it often wakes me up, leaving me with a feeling of acute uncomfortable heaviness there, and so I am not sure what is wrong (I have had this particular problem for a long time though) and so I have to make sure I sleep with my arms down by my side. I now think I have something terribly wrong with me.
