Interesting, I've heard about
generic (that is biosimilar) biologic medications but didn't know they are available already. Looks like it's only available in the European union (not for us in canada or usa).
"Hospira's Inflectra(TM) (infliximab) the first biosimilar monoclonal antibody to be approved in Europe."
For all intensive purposes, Inflectra and Remicade should work the same, as they're both infliximab only with a slightly different protein structure (equivalent but slightly different, biosimilar).
I'm not sure how long it's been available, but I am guessing it's fairly recent, which likely means not a lot have tried it yet? A guess.
