So the doc said it was severe proctitis, and mild colitis in left side, which is good news! But, I'm still having lots blood and gas and explosive D.
She said to give it another week of rotating Cort enema and towards enema, and start tapering off Pred since that's not really doing anything. But in the same breath she said if it doesn't clear up or start getting better in a week, we should consider biologics. Should I still even be on Imuran if it's only mild on left side and severe proctitis?
Also, is it possible that proctitis could make me feel as crappy as I did? It even hurts to sit for long periods of time bc it's so inflamed. My BF thinks I should just take the day off and rest, and literally let my body heal. I kinda few like I'm being a baby if I do that. I mean, granted I wake up feeling better bc I've had the enema at night, but is he right? Or is proctitis simply not as bad and have less impact on my system than regular colitis? Is it even considered regular colitis?
And one more thing. She did take biopsies. Will that tell her how good or bad stuff is? Not really sure what it "tells"
