Why are you afraid of vitamin B6?
It might be better to take B complex rather than a single B vitamin because otherwise they can become unbalanced. It may make a difference which kind of B complex you take:
For years folic acid, a B vitamin, gave my girlfriend trouble and we never knew why. Then with her 23andme DNA analysis we discovered that she had a MTHFR defect. So she switched from folic acid to folate. (Folic acid is an artificial form of the B vitamin folate).
The same with vitamin B12. She had to stop taking the artificial form of B12, cyanocobalamin and switched to the natural version which is methylcobalamin.
So if you are going to take B vitamins it wouldn't hurt to make sure that your bottle says folate instead of folic acid, and methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin. FWIW pyridoxal-5-phosphate is the natural form of vitamin B6.
