I've mostly eliminated carbs from my diet on weekdays and that's helped me slowly drop a few pounds. No bread, pasta, potatoes, beer, etc. On weekends I'll cheat and have them (to keep me sane) haha. That combined with 35 minutes of exercise a day (elliptical at gym) seems to work well. Lost about
12 pounds since january 1st.
When uc bothered me I could eat anything without consequence and still loose weight. Once I reached remission, I gained weight slowly because I still ate anything I wanted. Had to chip away at my Buddha belly
Any standard responsible eating combined with moderate excercise should work. Just stick with it and be patient.
Some of us might choose to keep a little extra weight as an insurance policy, just in case we flare. Last time I flared, I dropped 20 pounds in less than a month (about
average weight loss for a flare). A little extra never hurts, we all eventually flare...
