We all know how depressing it can be always thinking about our IBD and UC.

I feel SO much better when I am laughing, and thinking positive thoughts about others, and most importantly, about myself #selflove, and growing, building self-awareness, building my mindset, building my body, my health

When I'm feeling down, and in a funk, I read some of these to myself, sometimes even outloud(sounds crazy, but it helps!)

Here's a few of my favorite quotes, what are your favorites?

-------------------------------
People aren't trying to hurt you they are trying to protect themselves

The armor that you've put on to protect yourself is the very thing keeping out that which you most desire

Vulnerability can heal the world

Fear is a liar

A fool and his health are soon departed

Nothing tastes as good as health feels

You are the same today as as you will be in five years except for three things. The people you meet, the books you read, and the food you eat

Gratitude is the the gift that keeps on giving

Loving your physical pain is natural vicodin

Your thoughts are either medicine with or without side effects. The choice is yours.

What upsets you about others are what upsets you about yourself, for else you wouldn't’ even notice

Text your best friend right now something you love about them. Start with: I love when you_____

Your parents did the best they could with all they knew how.

Knowing when to say no, when to say yes, and when to say maybe has made all the difference

Succeeding when others thought I would fail is one of life's greatest satisfactions

Your friends either want the best for you, or they are not called friends

Happiness is always an inside job

You know that thing you love to do? Do more of it

Through my journey in this "life experience" I've finally found some peace through meditating daily, learning about "death" helps you learn about "life" is what I've discovered. Becoming spiritual, has made me realize that this too will literally/physically pass, our conscious will live forever, our bodies will not (thank goodness!!) but we are ALL here to have an experience and we are all connected (IBD or not) as "human beings" on this journey, and after this experience as well. I read up on NDE's (near death experiences" as well as the research part of it (neuroscientists, Quantum physics, as well as the power of consciousness and how meditation proves it by how it will light up the cortex of the brain and actually cause brain changes and more....)

I learned about death when I was at my lowest point and trying to find an end for this journey because it's been a long a painful one (even before the gut issues started to be honest) as I've aged and let myself become open to trying to understand "why me?" I learned that it's really not just "me" but pretty much everyone that is honest enough with themselves to ask the same question (why me?") the answer is;

Hardships regardless of what they are, are meant for LEARNING, not just about yourself, but about everyone else sharing the same "time" here. When you're experiences are bad enough that they can take you to places in your mind that you never thought would be possible, you learn a lot, if you realized it (sadly some don't and continue to blame others for whatever issues in "life" they have)...

Some of the things I've discovered....

"you change for 2 reasons; either you learn enough that you want to, or you've been hurt enough that you have to."

"When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate, when life is bitter, say thank you and grow" by Shauna Niequist

"We don't know who we are until we can see what we can do, but we don't find this until we try something new."

"Birth in the physical is death in the spiritual. Death in the physical is birth in the spiritual". by
Edgar Cacey

"How people treat us is their karma, how we react is ours."

Whatever thoughts, actions and words you put out will come back into your vibration, so make them all as positive as possible, not only for your sake, but for everyone else's as well.

You can give advice but you can't give wisdom.

Here's some positivity....

I watched Chopped Jr and a young girl with Crohn's disease won. That's tough, being diagnosed so young but she had a great attitude. 👍
