Yeah we have some posters who use salofalk oral. Some countries have Mezavant which is made by the same pharmaceutical company as lialda, either identical or very similar once a day meds. You can ask.
Some have noticed no difference when switching from one anti-inflammatory mesalamine/5ASA to another. Others here have trouble after the switch. Most pharmacists or doctors will tell you there is little to no difference between the brands. Each has different, proprietary delayed release coatings which slightly change the release point and dispersal rate of their medication, so it's possible to have slight differences among them.
Just make sure you're not passing whole pills within your stool. If you are then your new med isn't being released.
You're much better to take 4 pills 2 times a day and remember it then 2 pills 4 times and forget...
