ion info, you are taking a low dose. I was surprised that there was even a 500mg suppository because most people seem to get the 1000mg with canasa. It's probably so children can use it as well.
here is the recommended dosage for asacol suppositories taken from the brochure:
• three to six 250mg suppositories a day with the last dose at bedtime, or
• one to three 500mg suppositories a day with the last dose at bedtime.
DO NOT use more than six 250mg suppositories a day or more than three 500mg suppositories a day.
Like soy said, also add the 4G enema at night and try that.
If you are still in a flare since November you definitely need to step it up particularly since you only are on 500mg of asacol total.
