I used to take lecithin or phosphatidylcholine (PC), (think PC as concentrated lecithin), ever since 1970's health guru Adelle Davis recommended it as brain food and for controlling cholesterol. Then I started taking PC because it was proven to be helpful for UC and it seemed to work for me.
Then everything just hit the fan and PC was causing serious symptoms. Maybe it is because lecithin and phosphatidylcholine are derived from soybeans. Until relatively recently, (before the late-1990's), soybeans were safe but now they are over 90 percent GMO, (along with corn), and therefore saturated with glyphosate. Maybe that is why soybeans are now poison for me. I dunno.
I used to have a cast iron stomach but now my digestive system is shot and I am allergic to many foods.

When needed VSL#3DS sprinkled over powdered psyllium seed is very helpful.
Lactobacillus Reuteri (NCIMB 30242), Culturelle, Saccharomyces boulardii.
Fish oil, curcumin, extra D3, magnesium, multivitamin, glutamine when gut repair needed.
Resistant Starch and lots of fruit & vegetables (but no cruciferous), No Gluten, no soda, no HFCS, no xylitol or sorbitol, no trans fat, no shellfish, no carrageenan, no GMO foods saturated with Roundup.
