I have UC pancolities with mild involvement based on the colonoscopy reports. I tried Uceris for 6 weeks and my symptoms reduced a little but still no remission.
I had very mild symptoms anyway. I was going 2-3 times a day before Uceris, and now that I stopped it, I go with dhiarrea every other day...there is a drop of blood every week or so.

So basically mild symptoms but no it time for Prednisone? Or wait?

I would try to use maintenance medication, like lialda/rowasa, and forgo the prednisone.

That's entirely up to you. Sometimes we can beat a flare without pred and other times it is a requirement. If you're inflammation is only mild then try nightly rowasa and 4,800 mgs of mesalamine.

I swore to myself that once i was off of prednisone that I'd burn both the pills and bottle with great hedonistic enjoyment: booze, food, and dance. And if I ever need a colectomy... ;-)
