I do what you do and I search this forum. I remember reading one of the veterans once say something like: The secret with this isn't any one magical thing. It's putting things together that work synergistically together.
I've been on the Apriso for a long time. So, that's not it, although I have no doubt it is a part of the solution.
I suspect given how you love to research and educate yourself that you've read the abstract of the Briggs Protocol. In short, Briggs says he's taking an everything and the kitchen sink approach.
That said my life went from awful to much better from the day I started doing this ginger and turmeric thing. The incidence of days went from
5 to 20 to three almost over night - as long as I have no dairy or gluten.
It's been bugging me what it tastes like and why I look forward to it every morning. Today, I tweaked it and used grass-fed ghee instead of coconut oil and - bam!!! It hit me! It reminds me of an Indian or even a Thai curry - something I haven't been able to have since getting colitis. Usually, recipes call for chillies which tear me up.
But, with turmeric and ginger root, it feels wonderful!

But, my thinking on colitis is evolving. Yes, the inflammation presents for me and everyone else on this forum in the large intestine and the rectum - down below.
And, yet, the scientists are telling us that there are more given to problems of the gastric system and the small intestine - such as infection buy h. Pylori - than the population at large.
Certainly, work at both ends. But, don't neglect the top end.
