So I joined this forum last month and if I don't have it I'll post it just so other people searching can find it, and if I do have it I'm glad for all the people here who have helped.
I saw my doctor today and he said that all my blood work/tests were inconsistent with UC, he said the pathology reports had the same places as UC for the colonoscopy but the severity was very mild (he and the pathologists didn't think it was IBD) and the fact that it healed with just antibiotics also leads away from UC. He also said that my abscess didn't have a fistula, also leads away. No blood, leads away. It would lead towards a severe infection that wiped out my GI tract and caused an abscess.
I dont know what to think now, part of me is smiling and part of me thinks I'll need at least a year with no flares to really be calm.
Then there's the other part, people here still have it, and as a somewhat of health care provider myself (paramedic/firefighter) this will forever change how I help patients with it. One of my absolute favorite things in this world is music (playing and listening), last week I went to a concert and my Uber driver that picked me up was deaf, it made me feel guilty about me worrying about this but also put things in perspective of life if I did have it, I'd still likely be able to do all the things I love doing, which I know some UC patients can't.
Where I go from here, I have no idea, hopefully this is the end of my UC but whether it is or not, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here.
