L-Glutamine vs. Collagen for UC caused by Leaky Gut

I am in remission but, as I still have some basic symptoms, I am trying to take this opportunity to pursue a complete healing (if its possible). Between L-Glutamine and Collagen, which do all of you believe is better based on your experiences? I would consider taking both but I read somewhere that amino acids compete with each other for update so I fear that taking both might reduce the impact of each.

Well, I have used both before and really didn't notice any specific benefit for my UC symptoms. But I did get some incredibly soft skin when I used the collagen for 6 weeks. At the time, I thought maybe I had leaky gut myself. In hindsight, I don't think I did.

Here is an interesting conversation debating glutamine and collagen and which is best for leaky gut. There is a lot of debate in the comments section.
