I hope Entyvio is your fast track to remission. Glad you finally got the go-ahead after how many months delay on this surprise TB thing... best to play it safe though!
Not sure if your gasteroenteroligist is jumping the gun a bit, or if that talk is due. Remind me how many biologics have you tried thus far? Is entyvio your second or third biologic?
Generally failing two biologics gets you a lot more serious talk about
a surgery from your gasteroenteroligist, as the UC literature says there's a point of diminishing returns afterwards and the patient begins to look refractory to all medications... Take it as you will in that situation, you can keep on trying everything, or just say "check please I'm done and outta here" and then go the surgery route, everyone is different and it's a very personal decision.
Possible he's jumping the gun a bit. I got a slip of paper with a surgeon's name on it right when I started my first biologic, remicade, just in case it didn't work (it did though). Doctors do get frustrated that nothing works for us, specialists can be quite gruff with bedside manner often quite lacking lol. I guess they want to make sure we at least are aware of all of our options, and start thinking about
