Thanks for all your posts on this. iPoop just clued me in on them.
I just found out I'm in the same boat as you, so to speak.
I was on Remicade for a long time, then had to go on Humira. Recently the Humira stopped working and my GI wants to try Entyvio.
Per the protocol, TB blood test was done (Quantiferon Gold) and I failed it.
Went to the Infectious Disease doctor today, and she said the Quantiferon test results were positive, and no where near borderline. Although we can't figure out how/when I was exposed to TB, she's going ahead with the Isoniazid for 9 months just because she cannot rule it out as a false positive. I guess the test result numbers are high enough, coupled with almost 2 decades of Remicade and Humira sort of make TB a real possibility.
Problem is, I really need a solution to the failing Humira. Going to see the GI and ID doc next month and see how things go.
Sort of annoying/funny at the same time. Between the Crohn's disease, various injuries, a battle with Guiilian-Barré Syndrome in 2010, an out of control infection in 2012, and now possible TB infection, I'm not sure if I shouldn't be buying up lotto tickets. The odds of all this crap hitting one person really makes me wonder if the bad luck could possibly work in my favor.
Anyway, thanks for your posts, they've been helpful!
