Why not? If you're worried about
dehydration then drink more. You're not running the risk of a blockage, that is the real worry the first month or so.
You'll be able to eat(tolerate) the most types of foods with the End-Ileo(first surgery). When you get your loop-ileo (2nd surgery) you'll be limited with certain types of foods and that may continue for the first few months with your J-pouch.
Go wild with your food types with the end ileo. You run a greater chance of blockage with a loop ileo.
