I saw this other article the other day that talks about
a fluid-filled layer beneath the mucousa that spans the body, and cancers are believed to be spread via it. Whose to say whatever bacterium is the bane of our existence with UC causing an immune attack, isn't traveling to the eyes, joints, skin, or any number of things where the immune system remounts an attack there causing us more trouble:
