Most don't understand how inflammation heals during a flare and after the most obvious symptoms, and the fact that you are yo-yoing says it's not done yet.
Foods do have action in the digestive tract and sometimes needs to be adjusted depending on symptoms and phase of flare.
All I'm basically saying is continue treating....UC starts at the rectum, and inflammation increments of increasing and decreasing and receding will change your symptoms.
As well, eat fruit like dessert just after a meal rather than alone in midday. Eat enough protein and vary food intake.
