Using this post to track my progress with this disease. That way it will be up here for anyone it might help. All comments, recommendations, and opinions are welcome and appreciated.

Current medications:
2-3 Turmeric/Curcumin capsules a day (750mg).

2-3 Boswellia capsules a day (400mg)

2 S. boulardii capsules a day (5 billion cfu.)

CBD (oils, lotions), Cannabis (edibles, vaporizer). (various amounts just depends how bad I'm flaring that day)

Try’d Lialda. Could not handle the side effects. (Could not keep fluids down)
Try’d sulfasalazine. Stopped due to severe headaches.

Plan on trying sulfasalazine again in a few days at a lower dose.

Willing to try steroids (have used prednisone in past) short term as they helped me achieve remission 14 years ago in conjunction with sulfasalazine.

Doctor wants to use entyvio. Would like to try 5-asa medications, & Steroids if needed, before biologics.

I am currently finding a lot of relief with cannabis use but I don't prefer to be "high" all the time as it tends to make me tired on the come down and I can't always get it in my area. I don't notice as much of the same relief with just CBD products. Wondering if the THC is actually doing something. I'd like to hear about anyone else's experiences with cannabis for this disease as I continue to use it in small amounts.
Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis age 4 --- Went into to remission at age 6 with the help of Sulfasalazine. --- Currently in my first flare in 14 years, now age 20, after taking some antibiotics (Sulfameth/TMP 800/160 mg.) for a bacteria infection.

Current Meds: Daily Turmeric, Boswellia, and 10mg CBD capsules. ---
2 S. boulardii capsules a day. Soon going to add more probiotics.

Sulfasalazine is known to cause headaches in some. Try balsalazide disodium instead.

"Try’d Lialda. Could not handle the side effects. (Could not keep fluids down)" What does that mean? There's no known side effect of lialda as a you describe...
