why not eat resistant starch foods like potatoes and rice?
Because those foods do nothing for my intestinal wellness. Years ago we were eating Navy Beans for the resistant starch but those come with their own problems ( flatulance ).
This works as well as psyllium seed powder and I could say that about
anything else until now. Primarily this is for perfect poop to be blunt.
Waxy Maize was all the rage in bodybuilding years ago, now you simply cannot find it. This has a grass fed whey component for my protein needs which does not bother me and nearly every other whey protein does bother my system.
It also has coconut products which are great for me and it has the resistant starch.
Some weeks I have to work 70 hours on-call so I don't get to spend lots of time making perfect food in the kitchen, this is great for quick meals, post-workout etc. I try to cook natural chicken several times a week, boil 24 eggs and by natural meats but I am always supplementing solid meals with shakes.
There is no other food I consume that makes my UC symptom free like this. Seems to slowdown the gut while healing it and the result is clear in my case. I do not enjoy a glass full of psyllium seed every morning, this is much better and creates the same miracle as long as I use it just like pseed powder.
I would expect others find it has a positive effect on their UC symptoms.
