My doc said all my labs are very good, vitamin b, d, iron, folate, liver a little high and C-reactive protein a little high at 1.7. Iron and ferritin great she said. I’m on fish oil, curamed (which Is curcumin) and 50 bill probiotic as a regimen right now. It’s only been a week. The steroids were giving me a bad rash along with Other side effects. I’m taking canasa nd alternating with rowasa too.

What do you think about c reactive protein number?

UC since '05, now in '15 Mayo Clinic say Chrons/colitis, U of M '17, ulcer in 30% of colon, of those ulcer 75% are ulcerated. No biologics work. Rethinking a game plan with doctor, whom I'm not impressed with.

Your units and reference range are a bit different than my last test. I'd assume a 1.0 and below is considered normal, you are 1.7, so you're slightly above normal. I'd say you're a little high but that's nothing at all to be worried about or loose any sleep over. At worst, you have very, very mild inflammation but nothing major. I've been told CRP is notoriously fickle, you could have a test today and easily score a 1.0.

How are your symptoms?

My last C Reactive Protein from a few weeks back is this:

Test_______________Value____Ref Range________
C Reactive Protein____<7.0_____<10.0 mg/

In my test 10 and below is normal, and I have a 7.

My reviews on Yelp and Trip Adviser will be terrible: @$10,000 a night with uncomfortable beds and awful food, but at least the drugs are good at this hospital.
