The scar tissue is very normal in the anus area. It may have to be dilated a few times after your surgery.
I had a problem with the barium x-rays because of the scar tissue and the inexperienced techs. They called in the head of radiology for the 3rd attempt. It was at the same hospital that I had my surgeries at, and even then they were inexperienced. I can't imagine going to a hospital that didn't do j-pouch barium x-rays.
