None of us want to or enjoy taking medications, myself included. However, it is necessary to do so or else I flare up really badly. If your gasteroenterologist is suggesting biologics because of severe inflammation seen during colonoscopy then I highly doubt an elemental shake will fix it. Sorry but you're just grasping at straws and using magical thinking here.
I'm on biologics, have had zero side effects, and have achieved a remission thanks to biologics. Everyone is initially a bit nervous about
trying new classes of medications. What can help is learning more about
them, weighing the actual risks versus benefits, etc.
Yes, one can cherry-pick success stories of natural treatments, but the vast majority of uc patients require medications. There's always outliers and exceptions but unfortunately those exceptions aren't broadly repeatable across everyone with uc (if they were then nobody would take any medications).
Try doing a forum search of David Klein, there's a number of threads on it. Many saying it did not work for them.
