Hi

I've been doing really well after coming home after my Perforated bowel self healed, I've changed my eating habits and I've only had a bit of mucus and diarrhea but most of my stools are solid walking and cycling

Yet about a week ago ( 3 weeks after coming home from hospital ) I had been for a bike ride came home and about 4 hrs later I was sitting on the sofa and I had this dull pain. I can locate the pain exactly ( 2" right from belly button and then 2" down) its a dull mild pain and I can still do things walk and at night if I'm sleeping I can't feel it, but if I'm sitting hunched forward I get the pain and if I'm standing I can feel a mild pain.

This pain started on Tuesday evening so yesterday I was worried just in case the healed bowel might of burst open due to cycling I went to emergency hospital and they took my bloods

They said your white blood count is slightly high that could be due to your immune system fighting a infection and they took other tests and they came back OK.
They gave me some antibiotics and some pain killers and said if the pain doesn't go away in 3 days then I need to come back in and have a CT scan to see what's happening.

I was hoping they would have done the scan then but Dr said that there no point in necessary put you through the scan due to radiation ithe produces is high, let see if the antibiotics and pain killers work first.

Well today was the first day and the pain still there.

I'm worried that there might be a really tiny tear in the bowel and even though I'm not showing the effects right now as it so small (nM) that eventually the effects will come apparent or if it's the scars healing from the large polyp healing slowly ( that's where the hole was ).

Has anyone else had this or can someone give me some advice on what to expect when I do go for a CT scan as I don't think this pain in gonna stop and it's worrying me so much

Zack

infection is much more likely than tear. earlier posts offered the opinion that a healed perforation was stronger then the original tissue.

keep a watch on the situation, but I think your anxiety and imagination is working you up overmuch
