Sorry to hear about
what you are going through. I've only had severe pain when I've been in a bad flare, or if I eat something that is extremely rich in fiber that is not water soluble. You may want to switch to a softer diet, unless you are having constipation issues, in which case you might want to add a (mostly) water soluble fiber like psyllium.
Definitely get it checked out with the Doc.
My brother-in-law has Crohn's and gets really bad pain from strictures. People with U.C. don't usually get strictures though.
DX Ulcerative Pancolitis 2003. Subsequent flares limited mostly to left side
Flare every 2-3 years that is bad enough to require Pred.
9x Salofalk tabs, Sulfa free Rowasa nightly and Canasa each morning
Probiotics: Florastor Fiber: Psyllium.
Back in remission after getting rid of c-diff with Vanco, and a quick blast of Prednisone to cool things down.
