Ive used mesalamine oral/rectal for over 29 years. Temporary? Methinks not.
You dont know how to use them yet....tapering after 30 days is too soon in your case....you might need 3 months.
It's a commitment choice.....worth trying for longer periods, plus maybe adding a steroid foam during the day.
Some flares are tough to deal with if the meds arent used long enough.
