Welcome to the forum! Don't worry, your Prednisolone and Budenosoid dosage, and taper schedule all sounds pretty normal to me. You'll be fine
Salofalk 3-grams daily is perfectly normal for us (salofalk granules I would assume?).
Starting at 60-40mgs of oral Prednisolone/prednisone is pretty typical, as is tapering down at a rate like you describe is pretty normal, as well.
Oral budesonide/Budenosoid at 6/8mgs a day is also pretty normal.
Taking the Prednisolone and Budenosoid is your temporary plan until you recover and finish them up. Being on just the Salofalk is your current long term maintenance plan for you going forward. We can take a lot of medications up-front to recover from the worst of a flareup of our UC, steroids like Prednisolone/Budenosoid are often rocket ship fast at making us feel better and recover. Salofalk is a safe long term treatment that should keep things in-check over the long term. Recovery should take a month or several months, as internal-healing is a very slow process. Be patient, and hang in there as things will get better!
If you start struggling on lower dosages of Prednisolone/Budenosoid, then ask about
adding in a Mesalamine/Salofalk/Pentasa retention-enema. Often we take Salofalk enemas along with the salofalk oral medications for the quickest and best results.
