If you are concerned about
c diff, definitely go get checked out. It's hard to speculate on whether you're experiencing something related to the "bad food" you ate, or if it's inflammatory. I have had food poisoning with my UC in the past, but it was while I was flaring, and nothing got significantly worse. I was struggling before the oysters and I continued to struggle after the bout of vomiting and nocturnal toilet trips. I was having the toilet trips regardless of the poisoning, but not the vomiting and hot/cold sweats. I went on after the bout with the regular UC symptoms... If you're not feeling better, I'd go to the GI and see about
getting stool tests for both pathogens and calprotectin. Of course, even better than stool tests is a scope.
