Hi Everyone! I have not posted anything in a while. I am quite fortunate that I have been in remission for almost three years now!! I do have a question though. I was recently diagnosed with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction - so the left side of my heart is not pushing a "normal" percentage of blood out to the rest of my body. Testing revealed that I do not have any of the typical underlying causes. I wondered if the use of steroids over the year could have anything to do with it, and found that prolonged use of high doses of steroids can lead to heart failure. I have been on steroids off and on for many years when I've had flare-ups. In 2013, 2014 and 2015 I had a particularly difficult time and was on steroids more than I was off of them. Finally things evened out and have been good since then. In 2016 I had knee replacement surgery and had an EKG done in the pre-op testing which was normal. I was scheduled to have my second knee replacement in December, but the pre-op EKG showed LBBB which led to where I am now. All that said, I was just wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen or know of anyone who has. Thanks!
