To Mrssmith687 - I'm happy to share my experiences with living with a J-Pouch but being the club less then 5 months, I'm fairly limited on what I can talk about
. There are other veteran J-Pouchers that can probably give you a lot more insight. If you were to google "J-Pouch success stories" you would find a ton of positive experiences. Here are a couple of my favorites:
I also was very inspired by Darren Fletcher (Pro soccer player in the UK) He had the J-Pouch surgery and continued to play professional soccer. Yes there are a lot of doomsday J-Pouch stories out there and everyone will have their own experience but, the reality is most of time, the surgeries work and you can go on having an awesome life. That's my plan anyway!
