Like many others who have gone on the same route as myself starting with Humira followed by Entyvio I have now gone onto Xeljanz.
I have been on it for just under two weeks and seems to be working extremely well for me.
I take a 10mg tablet in a morning followed by another one 12 hrs later.
The results so far have been perfect for me going from 10-12 BMs per day and loose to 1 or 2 BMs per day and perfectly formed stools.
So keeping my fingers crossed that it continues this way as for once in a long time dare I say I feel normal.

That's great news. It's a different mechanism so it's possible the others didn't work for you and xeljanz does. Fingers crossed for continued success!

I have the same story as you. Been in a flare for 2 years now bouncing from one med to the next. about to start Xeljanz....I really hope this one works. Thank you for your positivity!

Hi limey, glad you're doing so well!! I am coming up to 12 weeks on xeljanz. Still not remission (as in no symptoms) but having much better quality of life than before I started. Jrreyes good luck! I was flaring for 3 years before xeljanz, it's been the only thing that really helped me.

Just an update , things are going well for me on Xeljanz , Bms still around 1 to 3 per day and formed and in myself I am feeling good.
I have had UC for sixteen years and over that period of time I have become careful about what I eat and that continues that way even on Xeljanz , not wanting to rock the boat.
My specialist wants to try reducing my meds to 5 mg twice a day after 2 months to see if it will still hold me.
This is mainly because of my age ( 78 )

Congrats on the improvements, and feeling better. We've had a number of success stories with xeljanz as more people have tried it, which is encouraging.

I have had success with Xeljanz after failing both Humira and Simponi! Let's hope it stays that way..
