I know 1277 sounds crazy high because you see the reference range is 0-50, but I've seen people with way higher numbers. iPoop's suggestion of rechecking, or checking blood levels is a good one, but in my case my blood was always normal, even when my FCP was crazy high. I've had mine be close to 2000. I have also had mine report low even though I was headed into a flare. It's definitely a useful test, and so much easier than a scope, but it's not 100% accurate. In your case, since you are suffering from symptoms, and you have been for a while, I do think stepping up to a new treatment is a good idea. If we weren't chatting the other day about your condition I might feel a little less confident about that, but from what you've explained, it sounds like you've been struggling for a while and you've tried most of the lower tier medications.
Your signature mentions Humira, is that still on the table? How about imuran, did your GI mention that? That's fairly easy, but it takes a while to get into your system, not sure if you want to wait... Entyvio also takes longer than a TNF blocker. I know you have plans for the 17th. It would be hard to get well by then, that's right around the corner. Perhaps eating light the day pf and the day before the event is the way to go, but you do need a plan for the longer-term. You say pred didn't help, but you also said you were on a low dose. What dose were you on? Have you tried uceris orally?
