That is how good science is done. The work outlined will take decades, but a framework that integrates all of the current knowledge is essential.
Title is a little funny because it may overemphasize the environmental aspects at the expense of microbiome and genetic factors. But the actual paper is very balanced in covering all of these areas.
It was interesting about the "subjectively perceived" stress versus the actual stress. It offers some hope that stress coping techniques could be therapeutic, but it also opens a door to blaming the patient by saying it is how you "perceived" things that made you sick.
Really good research blueprint IMO.
