I’ve just been diagnosed with Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria.

Anybody else here?
Suggestions?

They say this is where the pain and swelling is coming from, not just the hives.
I’m now on Montelukast 1 x 10 mg
Ceterizine 2 x 10 mg twice a day
Diphenhydramine 2 x 25 mg every 2 to 4 hours as needed
Which is totally OD amounts, but doctor says it’s safer than going back on Pred again.

So I sleep all the time instead of being unable to sleep.

I don't know anything about this condition, but I have taken Montelukast for years for my cat allergy and it works great for me. Without it, I can barely breathe around my cat. And wow, I bet you are sleeping a lot with that much Benadryl. sad Do you have to take these forever or just for a while?

Edit: And I used to take Zyrtec as well. It stopped working and I now take Allegra and have for a decade. I don't get any side effects with the Singulair or Allegra, if that's any consolation.

Ok. I didn't know if it was like our UC meds. Hope they help you feel better.
