Yesterday I saw a commercial for a "clinically proven" or "clinical grade" or something probiotic called Peptiva. The way they advertised it was showing a conversation between two people, one of which always had bloating, gas, etc. after eating. The other person asked them if they had ever tried probiotics and they said, yes, but they never work. This is what perked my ears because I've tried quite a few different probiotics to help my general gut health (with the exception of VSL, haven't bitten the bullet on that one yet) and none of them seem to make a difference. I'm mainly talking about those lovely complimentary IBS symptoms like the ones mentioned above, because I know that no matter what, I still have IBD and probiotics can't fix that. But I've talked on here before about my incessant, terrible gas and am still struggling with it, despite telling multiple doctors about it. I'm not about to fall for persuasive advertising without looking into it more, but just wondering if anyone has been hearing about Peptiva or has tried it. It's pretty pricey.

It seems Peptiva has several types of products. Which one specifically are you interested in?
I've never tried them.

Probably Advanced Digestive Relief. Not the sleep one.

I, personally, wouldn't use it because of the extra additions....but if you decide to try it, let us know how you do on it.

I have been on Peptiva for about 2 months. I take the one with the melatonin. Does help you sleep better. I don't think it has helped with UC though, as I've been dealing with a nonstop, terrible flare. Every time I try to cancel the order, they lower the price to keep me as a customer. I will probably take it another month and cancel it. I don't see a big difference between this one and other probiotics I've used in the past.

Gotcha. We definitely don't need more junk in our bodies.

Really glad you responded. Sounds fishy. Thank you.
