Travesty -- Yep, I am. I'll look into the other plans. I already have the plan with the highest premium. I still feel like this one might be best for me, but I'll definitely look into them. Thank you! Our HR is all centralized so there isn't really anyone knowledgeable to talk to about
this stuff. I can call someone at the 1-800 number, but I doubt they'll be helpful. I don't even think they know about
the different healthcare plan benefits. I just have to do the research on my own, which is fine.
ASellers -- Janssen told me no one was allowed to use it for anything other than co-pays, so this really does not make any sense. Are you a pharmacist? You talk like you are in that field, so I'm just wondering if you have inside insight. If this were the case, it seems very messed up. It really shouldn't count as out-of-pocket if people aren't actually paying for it. I mean I'm happy some people are getting it for free, but shouldn't it be fair across the board...? And I agree, I am glad we don't have long wait times and get to choose which doctors we see (for the most part).
35 years old; diagnosed UC March 2007 (prob. pancolitis; couldn't get scope all the way thru).
9-29-16: chronic and active proctosigmoiditis (infectious cause). Battled reoccuring campylobacter & c diff. Oct-Dec 2016. Remission since Dec. 25, 2016 until I started smoking again May 2018 after 9 yrs quit. Maintenance: Delzicol, 6, 2xday; Rowasa nightly. Started Remicade 7/25/19.
