I had a colonoscopy for the first time in 7 years on Sunday. Recently I’ve had a couple of flexible sigmoidoscopys without any pain killers, but this time I opted for sedation given the extent of the scope.

I’m 5 days after the scope and I feel like my symptoms are taking a turn for the worse, (I’ve become borderline incontinent with pink blood) and this blood from the biopsies doesn’t seem to be settling.

Is this typical? It feels like the recovery is much more prolonged than a flexi scope.

If you're flaring, then it's normal.
What was the visual comments from the doctor!
What meds are you on?
