I cant believe how bad I got from going 2 to 3 times a day with some urgency to now just diarrhea no blood or mucus and no pain I m hoping its a stomach bug but my left side of my stomach gurgles most of the day and I m going in the middle of the night to the bathroom. Usually I see my self getting worse and I up my meds and watch my diet more but this came out of no where I m going about 8 to 9 times a day what a setback I was mostly good for a year or so Its been 2 days of this

With a quick onset, I would wonder about an infection: food poisoning (salmonella), or something like a C Diff infection.

Not a flare....but an batch of food your gut doesnt like or an invader certainly can.

Symptoms and 2 -3 times a day with urgency says probable inflammation to me.

What was the rectal med regimen you were on before this?
Did you go through a phase of "constipation type" symptoms?

I suggest you call your doc and ask for a stool sample kit.

Frustrating. Did you ask for a stool sample kit? At the very least that will be in the process while waiting for your appointment date. Hopefully, the results will be in before that, and if it is an infection the doc will call with an rx.

I don't know about the pred because the doctor hasn't given the OK..... but if the wellbutrin helped you in the past, it might be worth starting it again.

I've had flare symptoms come on quickly like that. Hope you can get it under control quickly. Sucks you have to wait 3 weeks to get into the doctor, but they might be willing to advise you of what to do over the phone before that.

I've also had flare-ups come on nearly overnight, but mine almost always come with blood nearly immediately. I am hoping this is just a bug.

I would suggest to add a fibre supplement with meals...that can help bulk the stool up a bit. Capsules are a good regulator and one capsule with a meal is a good start.

Good on the stool kit.

Try cloves! My mom was suffering from a peptic ulcer she has had since May and within 1-2 weeks of taking these she is eating again! They help restore the mucosa layer and can help us go into remission. They have a ton of other benefits too. I heard about them from another contributor here who went into remission from UC with them. Worth a shot!
