The FDA website used to say that Lialda (ANDA 022000, made by Shire) had four approved generic equivalents: from Actavis (ANDA 203817), Mylan (203574), Zydus (091640), and Sun (211858). Well, the one from Sun is now no longer listed on there, and if you look it up individually it says "Marketing Status: Discontinued." I wonder what happened. I can't find anything about it on Google.

I'm particularly curious since I'm taking the Sun variant bought through an overseas pharmacy. I presume "Marketing Status: Discontinued" means they are voluntarily choosing to stop selling it in the US and not that there's anything wrong with it. But I really don't know.
