It is interesting. It does not say much new when it notes that gut microbes getting through intestinal barrier is associated with chronic diseases, including auto immune. They also note that the questions of which causes what in terms of dysbiosis (or permeability) and disease.

But their finding does suggest that for at least one species, it seems t be that the bacteria getting out of the gut is the cause of some autoimmune response.
