I have had great results with the Biologic Remicade over the last 2 years. I wish I had started it earlier before my symptoms and u/c became severe and progressed to pancolitis.
The only problem I have had recently was with the Huge renowned corporate type Hospitals/Clinics that I go to in La Jolla California and their decision without my consent to change my medication to a biosimilar called Renflexis. This action and new medication sent me into a big fat flare, which we are now trying to get a handle on before it does to much damage.
I contacted everyone involved, even reviewed their organization on Yelp. They agreed to but me back on Remicade at my next infusion in 5 weeks. After all, my medication was working and approved by and covered by my insurance. You never stop or change a medication if it is working, unless it is causing you great harm, because once you stop a medication and then start it up again it may not work for you the next time around.
I really loved my Remicade and being well. I Pray to God it will still work for me. If it doesn't I don't know what I'll do.
Good Luck to you in whatever direction you decide to go in. Remember don't ever be afraid to push back at the doctors, nurses, hospitals and clinics. It's your health and your Life not theirs. Your what really matters.
