Hi. I don't have an answer to your question, but I was wondering what do you do since the prednisone is no longer effective for you? It's becoming less and less effective for me. Do you just suffer while waiting on biologics to hopefully work? I, too, was diagnosed at age 23. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

the prednisone. I’m not sure what to do about
it. I just noticed that the last 2 times I’ve been on it, it hasn’t really worked. I’ve been on it 4 separate times in the span of a year because I’ve been battling on and off flares since April 2018.
Left sided UC Oct 2015 at 23 yrs old. Hospitalized x2:
Oct 2018 - 1 week, IV Solumedrol & June 2019 - 4 days, IV Solumedrol. Previous Meds:
Salofalk oral (500MG x6), Salofalk enemas (x1 nightly), Entyvio (Oct 2018-Sept 2019) & Prednisone (40MG tapered x4 - lost effectiveness). Current Meds:
Salofalk oral (500MG x6), Salofalk enemas (x1 nightly) & Remicade (Oct 10).
