I probably should wait until later this afternoon to post this after I (FINALLY) see my GI. I’ve been tracking my symptoms for three weeks and I’ve had no pain, only mild ‘noticing’ sometimes, no bloating, a little bit of diarrhea a couple of times, and no bleeding. I also saw nothing alarming in my recent lab tests (except for low iron).
I’ve been following an IBD AID diet for the last few months. I think it’s a good diet for me for a variety of reasons but the high fibre is effecting my BM’s which I’ve become obsessed with over the last few months, so thecdiet might also be contributing to my mental instability
yesterday I had a veggie sandwich with bread, baked lays (so delicious! I just love potato chips!!!) and a few wheat crackers with cheese in addition to my usually eating, and this morning I had a “normal” BM.
Thanks to the support here, I have been able to get through a semester of school and go to work without talking incessantly about
my health (IRL). I’ve been very anxious since July about
being prescribed prednisone without medical council and this group helped me figure out I needed to get a prescript
ion for pentasa, and that I’m probably sensitive to mesavant, while my GI was on vacation, and continue with the suppositories when I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do. This group has also helped ease my fears (with humour, great sharing, suggestions, and reality.
It’s hard to share with people. I get told a lot that i need to eat differently or go to a naturopath. After my second acupuncture visit I’ve had two weeks of occasional stabbing pain in my right palm and a lack of feeling there 🙄.
I’m very grateful to you all. I don’t think I’ll be going on biologics this week. But if I do in the future, I know I can share all the things, and that there is support. ❤️
