My gi has me on dulcolax suppositories every night and rowasa in am. Any tips on holding rowasa in in the morning. Does it matter if it comes out? Should I use Canasa instead?

I've used rowasa mornings, afternoons, and nights. Just key that the fluid is absorbed as fully as possible before you get up and resume your day. Instructions say 20 minutes on your left side, I always have given it 30-40 minutes during awake hours. Hopefully not TMI, but if you start walking around and that liquid is sloshing around in your rectum then urgency happens and you evacuate it. The rectum is a rather poor absorber of liquids, and when you stand that's where an unabsorbed fluid will go.

Yeah, I am usually ok doing them during the day if I can lie down for 20-30 min.

Ipoop and Sara, thank you for the good information. Turns out the ducolax isn't working for constipation so I'm back to enemas at night!
