Proctitis for 15 years, went in for my every-5-years colonoscopy last month and Dr. called me back saying everything was fine outside of the rectal biopsy, which had come back "indefinite for dysplasia." Said the pathologist couldn't make heads or tails of it, mainly because of the inflammation. Told me to take 4 Lialda/day for 3 months and then come back for a flex-sig. That was it, no call back, etc.
I'm extremely unsettled by this. Anyone else with a similar experience? What happened next?
